There was a huge turnout at the Midas exhibition on Friday 15th January, with over 500 people coming through the door.? Thanks to everyone who made the effort and gave Midas their views.? Nearly everyone we spoke to had a strong view about something and was prepared to tell Midas what they thought.? It has shown Midas that our community still cares very much about what happens on Milbury Farm.?
Our reading of responses and reactions on the day suggests very few people liked the designs, particularly the flats.? We think about 80% of people were against the ?commercial hub? and splitting the centre and losing the heart of our village.? And no one could understand why the proposed bus route was for the new development only, instead of serving the whole village.
Many people put their views in writing to Midas on their forms.? But we heard Midas giving what we think were conflicting stories to different people.? So, will you please put your views in writing to Teignbridge District Council, so that there can be no doubt how this community feels on these issues.? This will help us as we keep pressure on Midas and the planners to re-think some of their ideas and make the development work for the village as well as them.?
